Our story
Ōmi, the Lake Country Beautiful Shiga
Shiga was known in old Japan as Ōmi, and because Lake Biwa lies at its heart it has long been called the Lake Country. One lake, four seasons — cherry blossom along the shore in spring, the mountain breeze off Mount Hira in summer, hillsides of red maple in autumn, and snow settling over Hikone Castle in winter.
MY.MY.MY. is run by Kobayashi International Trading Co., Ltd., whose head office stands in Inae-cho, Hikone, on the eastern shore of Lake Biwa. We live and trade on this land, and we also promote in-depth travel in Shiga and cycling tours around the lake. The good things we come across along the way are picked out one by one and sent to you by hand.
